Waxing Dos and donts

  • To achieve the best results from your facial waxing, it is essential to avoid using retinol and retinoid products for 5-7 days before waxing of the face. These potent ingredients can make your skin sensitive, so please let your technician know if you're currently using them. This includes products like Differin gel and other over-the-counter retinoids. In addition, any products containing glycolic acid, lactic acid, or any BHAs/AHAs. Furthermore, steer clear of chemical peels or laser treatments at least one week before your facial waxing appointment to ensure your skin is properly prepped and ready for the process.

  • We use a specifically formulated hard wax, that is made for sensitive body parts. It also only adheres to the hair, and not to the skin. Skin prep for body waxing- take time to pamper your skin by exfoliating two days before your appointment. This will help remove dead skin cells and prepare your skin for a smoother waxing experience. Ensure your skin is thoroughly clean and well-moisturized to achieve optimal results. Additionally, the hair should be at least the size of a grain of rice, which typically means it should have been growing for 5 to 7 days since your last shave. Proper hair length is crucial for effective removal, resulting in a longer-lasting, smoother finish.

  • Bikini and Brazilian waxing are popular personal grooming options that many people find beneficial. These methods offer a more hygienic and efficient alternative to traditional shaving, which can often lead to nicks and irritation. Waxing removes hair from the root, leaving your skin feeling incredibly smooth for weeks. While concerns about ingrown hairs are understandable, they can be minimized with proper care and good hygiene during and after the waxing process. Treating yourself to this experience, whether you choose to go entirely bare or not, can enhance your self-esteem, and your skin will thank you for it!

  • Pre-Appointment Guidelines: Please refrain from using facial products that include active ingredients for 3-5 days before your appointment. This includes products containing retinol, AHA, or BHAs. However, hyaluronic acid is ok to use!

Booking Additional Services: You can book other services in addition to your facial. For optimal results, we recommend scheduling facial waxing before your facial appointment. If you plan to get your brows laminated or tinted, or if you’re considering a lash lift, it’s best to schedule those treatments after your facial.

Personalized Experience: The entire experience is customized for your needs and comfort. Starting with the temperature of the treatment bed to the medical-grade supplies we use. It’s all about you!

Filler and Botox- If you have recently received filler or botox injections, please wait to book your facial until you have allowed enough time for proper healing and to minimize the risk of migration.

Pregnancy Considerations:** As with all self-care services, if you are pregnant, please consult with your OBGYN before booking your appointment.

  • To ensure the best results, it's essential to refrain from using retinol products for 5 to 7 days prior to your brow lamination appointment. This precaution helps to alleviate any skin sensitivity. After the service, be sure to keep your brows clean and dry for a full 24 hours. This will help maintain the shape and structure of your beautifully laminated brows, ensuring they look their absolute best!

  • If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to enhance your natural lashes, a lash lift might be just what you need! This popular beauty treatment gives your lashes a beautiful boost without the hassle of daily upkeep.

How It Works: During the lash lift process, a skilled technician uses a gentle silicone shield to lift your lashes onto a small rod gently. They’ll then apply a lifting solution, followed by a setting solution to lock in that fabulous curl.

What to Expect: Once it’s all done, you’ll notice a lovely lift and curl that makes your lashes look longer and fuller!

Why You'll Love It: Lash lifts are a fantastic, low-maintenance option compared to wearing mascara every day or getting eyelash extensions. Plus, they can last for several weeks, so that you can enjoy your gorgeous lashes without any fuss!

    Lash Lift Aftercare:
After a lash lift, it is essential to keep your lashes dry and avoid getting them wet for the first 24-48 hours, allowing the lift to set fully. Here are some key aftercare tips:

    1. Keep Lashes Dry: Avoid water, steam, and moisture for the first 24 to 48 hours to prevent weakening the lift.

    2. Be Gentle: Avoid rubbing or touching your lashes. Try to sleep on your back to reduce pressure on your lashes.

    3. Use Oil-Free Products: Switch to oil-free makeup removers, cleansers, and skincare products to prevent the lift from breaking down.

    4. Brush Regularly: Gently brush your lashes with a clean spoolie brush daily to maintain their shape and prevent clumping.

    5. Condition and Nourish: Consider using a lash serum to keep your lashes healthy and well-hydrated.

    6. Avoid Makeup: Refrain from wearing mascara or eye makeup for the first 24 to 48 hours to allow the lift to set completely.

    7. Regular Maintenance: Schedule appointments anywhere from 4-6 weeks as needed to maintain the lift and tint of your lashes.
